Golf Sim PCs

Golf Sim PCs

Your launch monitor captures the shot, but your PC turns it into a realistic course on screen. Our golf simulator PCs are built specifically for golf software, spec'd above recommended requirements, available with Intel or AMD processors and backed by a 3 year warranty. We also stock the cables, docks, monitors and touchscreens to finish your setup.

Do You Need a Golf Simulator PC?

Your launch monitor captures the shot, but the PC turns that data into a realistic golf course on your screen. Not every setup needs one, though. Many launch monitors run their own phone or iPad apps, which is plenty for practice and casual rounds.

Our golf simulator PC guide covers this in detail, but here's the quick version.

A TABLET MAY BE ENOUGH IF

You want the simplest possible setup, you're mostly practising rather than playing full rounds, and top-end graphics aren't a priority.

YOU'LL WANT A PC IF

You want to run GSPro or other sim software, which is PC only, project onto an impact screen in 4K, add swing cameras or extra displays, or have the widest choice of simulator software.

What Matters in a Golf Simulator PC

Golf software puts different demands on a computer than everyday gaming. These are the parts that decide how smooth your simulator feels.

GRAPHICS CARD

The most important part. It draws the courses, ball flight, shadows and lighting. At 4K, aim for 12GB of video memory or more.

PROCESSOR

Rarely the bottleneck, with one catch: some launch monitor platforms, including Trackman and GolfIn, require an Intel CPU. Always check before you buy.

MEMORY (RAM)

16GB is plenty for most home sims. 32GB gives headroom if you run swing cameras and other apps alongside your software.

STORAGE

A fast NVMe SSD means quicker boot times and faster course loading. 1TB leaves plenty of room for course libraries.

Match Your PC to Your Projector and Software

The biggest mistake we see is a mismatch. A premium graphics card on a 1080p projector is money you'll never see on screen, while a 4K projector on an underpowered PC can look worse than a well tuned HD setup. Our 4K vs HD projector guide explains the difference.

1080P PROJECTORS

A solid entry level graphics card comfortably runs GSPro at 1080p, plus E6 Connect and Creative Golf. The best value for Full HD setups.

4K PROJECTORS

The sweet spot for serious home sims. Step up to a mid to high tier graphics card with 12GB of video memory for GSPro on high settings.

ULTRA 4K + COMMERCIAL

Ultra settings, multi-display setups and commercial bays that run all day need a top tier graphics card with 16GB of video memory and 32GB of RAM.

Built for Golf Simulators, Not Just Gaming

A generic gaming PC can have plenty of raw power and still trip you up on connectivity or launch monitor compatibility. We build our golf simulator PCs specifically around golf software.

ABOVE RECOMMENDED SPECS

Every build is spec'd above the recommended requirements for leading golf software, with headroom for updates.

INTEL + AMD OPTIONS

Choose the processor your launch monitor needs, so you never end up with a fast PC that won't talk to your system.

3 YEAR WARRANTY

Every golf simulator PC we sell is backed by a 3 year warranty.

ROOM TO GROW

Sim software keeps evolving. A bit of extra headroom now saves an early upgrade when you add cameras, displays or a better projector.

Setting Up Your Simulator PC

A few small extras make a big difference to how your finished setup works day to day.

A PROPER HDMI RUN

Projectors often sit several metres from the PC. Use a cable rated for 4K at the length you need, as cheap long cables cause flickering and dropouts.

SCREEN AT THE BAY

A monitor or touchscreen at the hitting area lets you navigate menus without walking back to a desk.

WIRELESS CONTROL

A wireless keyboard and mouse gives you quick control from the hitting mat between shots.

VENTILATION

Garages and sheds get hot in an Aussie summer. Give your PC clear airflow rather than boxing it into a cabinet.

Complete Your Golf Simulator

Your PC runs the show. To turn it into a working sim you also need something to read the ball, something to show the picture, something to hit into and something to hit off. Not sure where to start? Our guide on what you actually need for a golf simulator covers it, or build your own simulator step by step.

Golf Simulator PC FAQs

Which golf simulator software needs a PC?

GSPro is PC only, and it's where a dedicated sim PC makes the biggest difference. Platforms like E6 Connect and Awesome Golf also offer iPad versions, and many launch monitors come with their own phone or tablet apps.

Will your golf simulator PCs work with my launch monitor?

Yes, as long as you choose the right processor. Some launch monitor platforms, including Trackman and GolfIn, require an Intel CPU, which is why our builds come with Intel and AMD options. Tell us your launch monitor and we'll confirm the right build.

Can I use my existing gaming PC?

Often, yes. Check it meets the recommended requirements for your simulator software, has enough graphics power for your projector's resolution and matches your launch monitor's CPU requirement.

How do I connect the PC to my projector?

Usually with an HDMI cable run to the projector. For 4K, make sure the cable is rated for 4K at the full length you need, since long cheap cables are one of the most common causes of flickering or signal dropouts.
